As a global leader in 3D printing , Flashforge has been dedicated to advancing education through innovation for years. Our Adventurer 5M Pro 3D printer was  named by CNET as the "Best 3D Printer for Educators in 2024".

 3D Printing Meets Robotic Combat

Recently, Flashforge partnered with Tencent Future Classroom on an inspiring public welfare project aimed at helping children participate in a robot combat competition. The project involved creating, printing, and modifying robot combat vehicles for the young participants. Through this collaboration, the Adventurer 5M Pro again demonstrated its incredible potential to spark imagination and creativity, highlighting the transformative role of 3D printing in educational technology.

Children Bring Creativity to Life with 3D Printed Vehicles

In this educational initiative, the Adventurer 5M Pro played a pivotal role. Every robot vehicle body, container, and iconic structure at the event was 3D printed using our technology. Once the printing was completed, the children were given the freedom to unleash their imagination and creativity, assembling, painting, and decorating their 3D-printed creations, giving each vehicle a unique, personalized touch.

Children's 3D printed chariot creations

As the children painted and decorated their robot vehicles, they infused local cultural elements into their designs, offering a window into their hometowns and traditions. Here are some of their creative masterpieces:

From Taihe County: Students from Taihe County Second Middle School incorporated local cultural symbols such as calligraphy, Taihe wood panels, and regional plants like Chinese toon and Kuntai into their robot vehicle designs.

From Peixian, Jiangsu: Children from Peixian, the hometown of Emperor Liu Bang, designed their vehicle in the style of an ancient battlefield chariot. They crafted a majestic ancient emperor’s crown out of paper, decorated it with colorful beads, and inscribed the phrase “The ancient dragon flies here, a land of emperors,” embodying the spirit of imperial grandeur.

From Yunnan: Youngsters from Yunnan added elements of the region’s famous roasted chicken and mushrooms to their designs. The 3D-printed mushrooms were intricately detailed, adding a playful and whimsical touch to their creations.

From Xinjiang: Children from Xinjiang chose local features like the Kurle fragrant pears and the white swan, which symbolizes the region as an important stop for migrating swans. Their 3D-printed vehicle, inspired by a swan, won the competition and took home first place.

These culturally infused designs not only personalized the 3D-printed creations but also showcased the children’s deep love for their heritage and their creativity. These 3D designs allowed the children to express their cultural roots while embracing the exciting intersection of technology and tradition.

Flashforge: A Bridge to the Future of Education

At Flashforge, we are proud to witness how our 3D printing technology helps children transform abstract ideas into tangible, physical creations. The Adventurer 5M Pro not only teaches children how to use cutting-edge 3D printing technology but also encourages them to solve problems through hands-on experience, fostering their creativity, imagination, and a lifelong curiosity for science and technology.

Throughout this project, the children leveraged Flashforge's 3D printing technology to create works of art that tell the story of their hometowns. Their designs reflected not only remarkable creativity but also a sense of responsibility toward cultural preservation. This is the true essence of education – empowering children to learn through innovation while offering them a new way to express their cultural heritage.

The children’s work showed us that 3D printing is more than just a tool; it’s a catalyst for experiential, creative learning. Moving forward, Flashforge will continue to bridge the gap between technology and education, enhancing 3D printing capabilities and helping children realize their dreams as they embark on their creative journeys.
